Electrical Engineer | Bremen, Germany | On-site

The Role

  • Analyze product and component requirements to derive specific automation technology specifications, including control system setup, communication interfaces, safety, and user functions.
  • Develop, advance, and select electronic components such as PLC controllers, remote I/O, drive and control technology, sensors, and industrial bus systems.
  • Conduct design analyses for products and components with a focus on PLC technology and associated software.
  • Coordinate the development of individual components, including alignment with mechanical, software, systems engineering, suppliers, and manufacturing departments.
  • Perform component integration, including wiring, commissioning, and verification of functions within the overall system.
  • Independently document and analyze work results.

What You'll Need

  • Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or Information Technology with initial professional experience.
  • Alternatively, a completed vocational training in electrical engineering (e.g., Electronics Technician for Automation Technology) with further training as a technician and several years of professional experience.
  • Experience in programming, diagnosing, and optimizing PLC systems (Siemens S7/TIA Portal, Beckhoff, etc.).
  • Knowledge in the planning and development of automation systems, as well as in creating circuit diagrams and hardware specifications.
  • Experience in the setup and commissioning of automation systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken.
