What would you do?

Job Description:

Role: Senior Data engineer

Location: Washington, DC (4 days onsite in a week).

Fulltime

• Senior Data engineer with deep hands-on experience in Database & Data Migration to Cloud, Azure Data lake, Databricks ,SQL, PL/SQL development , and large scale data migration initiatives. The role requires a highly experienced individual contributor capable of independently owning and delivering complex migration and integration work with minimal supervision.

• The ideal candidate will have strong exposure to cloud-based data platforms, preferably within the Azure ecosystem, including Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake, and will play a critical role in supporting IFC Phoenix migration and modernization initiatives.

Skills required.

• Expertise on Azure platforms including Azure Databricks, ADLS, and its various components,
• In-dept knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure data stack i.e., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, Logic apps, Spark and Python programming etc.
• Expertise on Azure platforms including Azure Databricks and its various components, including Delta Lake.
• Strong understanding of data architecture and data management principles.
• In-dept knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure data stack i.e., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, Logic apps, Spark Knowledge etc.
• In-depth Knowledge on designing of ETL Pipelines for Batch and Real time in Azure data factory and Azure datafactory.
• Hands on experience on Function apps, Event Hubs, Web apps , API M.
• Good must experience on Migration to Salesforce
• Strong experience with designing ETL/ELT Pipelines/Data flows using Azure Data Factory as Primary skill and SSIS/Informatica as additional skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, Spark notebooks and Scala.
• Must have strong development & design skills in leading RDBMS environments e.g. MS SQL Server and Oracle 10g.
• Experience of Big data approach, architectural concepts, data sourcing/ ingestion/ curation and storage mechanisms.
• Experience with real-time / near-real-time Data warehousing concepts and Design approaches.
• 8 10 years of experience in Data Modeling, Data/ Information Architecture, Metadata Management, Master Data management, Data Governance & Data Quality.
• Should have executed end-to-end projects focusing on Azure Synapse Delta lake.
• Leveraging components like Azure Automation, Azure Power Shell Scripting, Az Copy, Devops/ARM Templates.
• Should have thorough understanding of Data-lakes, Delta-lakes, raw/enriched/curated layer concepts and ETL within Azure framework

• Overall professional experience of 15+ years, with strong focus on enterprise data migration, system modernization, and integration initiatives.
• Deep understanding of Oracle PL/SQL logic and database behavior, with demonstrated ability to analyze and reverseengineer complex legacy implementations.
• Proven experience translating legacy database logic into cloudbased data migration and integration solutions.
• Strong handson experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and cloudbased data processing workflows.
• In-dept knowledge and hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure data stack i.e., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, Logic apps, Spark Knowledge etc.
• Leveraging components like Azure Automation, Azure Power Shell Scripting, Az Copy,
• Devops/ARM Templates.
• Strong experience with designing ETL/ELT Pipelines/Data flows using Azure Data Factory as
• Primary skill and SSIS/Informatica as additional skills.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, SQL, Spark notebooks and Scala.
• Experience handling largevolume data migrations, reconciliation, validation, and crosssystem data consistency checks.
• Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, relational structures, surrogate and composite keys, crossreference tables, and migrationfriendly data designs.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a senior individual contributor, independently owning complex migration workstreams with minimal supervision.
• Experience supporting integration testing, UAT, production deployments, and postdeployment stabilization.
• Strong analytical and root cause analysis skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Highly organized, with strong ownership of deliverables, documentation, and timelines.
