For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a Senior Data Analytics Engineer.

As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Data Engineer. Project Summary The Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that enable analytics and mission-critical systems for law enforcement customers. This role focuses on developing high-volume data pipelines and backend services in a secure, cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver data solutions in two-week sprints
• Design, implement, test, and maintain data pipelines and backend services
• Develop scalable, high-performance, and highly available ETL solutions
• Support microservices integration using REST, SOAP, or GraphQL
• Diagnose and resolve complex system and data issues
• Work with customers and internal teams to refine data requirements
• Support DevSecOps pipelines and automated deployments

Required For This Opportunity

• TS/SCI clearance required
• Bachelor's degree (Computer Science preferred, or equivalent experience)
• 4-6 years of experience in Agile software development
• Strong experience with:
• Python and Java
• High-volume ETL solutions
• AWS services (S3, RDS, EC2, Lambda)
• SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL or Oracle)
• Linux environments (RHEL preferred) and shell scripting
• JSON data formats and mediation techniques
• DevSecOps tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform, and Vault
• Ability to work onsite in Crystal City, VA 2-4 days per week

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience supporting government or high-security environments
• Familiarity with cloud-native data architectures

The targeted base salary range for this role is $110,000-$166,000 per year. Please note that this range is provided as a guideline and the final offer will be based on several factors, including but not limited to, skillset and competencies, level of experience, education, certifications, and location.
