Job Description

Hi-Tek Manufacturing Inc seeks an Application Engineer to support advanced CNC machining programs for aerospace, medical, and high-tech customers. You will develop and optimize CNC processes, create and refine tooling, fixturing, and setup documentation, and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to meet tight tolerances. Responsibilities include new job launch, troubleshooting machining issues, improving cycle times, and supporting continuous improvement while ensuring quality, safety, and on-time delivery in a precision-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and validate CNC machining programs for new and existing parts
  • Design and refine tooling, workholding, and fixturing to meet tight tolerances
  • Create and maintain setup sheets, process documentation, and standard work
  • Support new job launch from quotation/feasibility through production release
  • Troubleshoot machining issues, nonconformances, and quality concerns on the floor
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality to improve manufacturability
  • Analyze cycle times and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
  • Ensure processes meet customer, aerospace, and medical quality requirements
  • Provide technical support and training to machinists and operators on CNC processes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, safety, and 5
