About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Test Systems Engineer to develop, integrate, validate, and maintain advanced automated test solutions for complex electro-optical and hardware/software systems. In this role, you will work across multidisciplinary engineering teams to design and implement test equipment, support production operations, and ensure system performance through rigorous verification and validation processes.

You will contribute to the full lifecycle of test system development, including requirements analysis, architecture, integration, automation, troubleshooting, regression testing, and performance evaluation.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, implement, and maintain test solutions for complex hardware, software, subsystems, and integrated system environments.

Translate customer and program requirements into effective test architectures while considering technical, schedule, and cost objectives.

Define functional and technical specifications for automated test equipment and validation systems.

Resolve hardware and software integration challenges and ensure seamless system interoperability.

Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, schedules, and execution strategies for subsystem and system-level validation.

Lead integration, verification, and validation activities throughout product development and production lifecycles.

Coordinate system and subsystem testing activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program teams.

Analyze test data and generate detailed technical reports to verify system performance against requirements.

Investigate failures, document discrepancies, and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Execute regression testing to validate hardware and software modifications.

Support production environments by maintaining and enhancing automated test equipment and related infrastructure.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

6+ years of experience in test equipment design and development.

6+ years of experience in electronic testing.

6+ years of experience in mechanical testing.

4-6 years of experience in software development using C, C++, LabVIEW, or related languages.

4-6 years of experience supporting manufacturing or production environments.

Experience developing and executing system-level and subsystem-level test strategies.

Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for integrated hardware/software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands-on experience with LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, National Instruments (NI) hardware, and related development environments.

Strong software development skills in C and C++ for automated test applications.

Experience integrating Automated Test Equipment (ATE) hardware, including

PXI/VXI chassis

Switching systems

Data acquisition systems

Electro-optical (EO) test systems

Test automation frameworks

Experience developing and maintaining automated test systems in a high-volume production environment.

Knowledge of electro-optic sensors, imaging systems, or advanced sensing technologies.

Experience with requirements validation, verification methodologies, and regression testing practices.

Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills.
