Job Description

The Opportunity

MUST HAVE VALID UK WORKING VISA.

We're looking for a talented Data Scientist to join a growing data and analytics team, helping turn complex datasets into meaningful insights and predictive solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level Data Scientist who enjoys solving real-world business problems and wants the opportunity to work across machine learning, statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deploy machine learning and statistical models to solve business problems.
  • Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.
  • Use Python and SQL to extract, manipulate and analyse data.
  • Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering.
  • Build predictive models and evaluate their performance.
  • Work closely with Data Engineers to ensure reliable and scalable data pipelines.
  • Translate technical findings into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Present insights and model outputs to senior business stakeholders.
  • Continuously improve existing models, processes and analytical approaches.
  • Contribute to the development of best practices across the wider data function.


About You

We're looking for someone with approximately 2-3 years' commercial Data Science experience who can take ownership of projects and confidently work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

You'll ideally have:

  • Strong commercial experience as a Data Scientist.
  • Excellent Python skills.
  • Strong SQL experience.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning and statistical modelling.
  • Experience working with predictive modelling techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience communicating technical findings to non-technical audiences.
  • A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another STEM-related discipline.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
  • Experience with Pandas, NumPy and Scikit-learn.
  • Knowledge of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Experience with Git/version control.
  • Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs or NLP.
  • Experience deploying models into production environments.
