Data Analyst (Enterprise Applications, Snowflake & Tableau)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to provide technical support, administration, and continuous improvement for enterprise applications, data platforms, and reporting solutions. This role will collaborate closely with architects, developers, database administrators, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to support application operations, data analytics, reporting platforms, and enterprise technologies.
The ideal candidate will have experience in application support, data management, Snowflake administration, Tableau administration, database technologies, cloud environments, and production support. This position requires strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills, along with the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Application Architecture & Technical Support

• Support the evaluation, design, documentation, implementation, and enhancement of enterprise application solutions.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications, solution designs, and implementation plans.
• Analyze application architecture, databases, integrations, middleware, infrastructure, and reporting solutions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and implementation artifacts.
• Participate in technical reviews of application enhancements, database scripts, integrations, and production releases.
• Support modernization initiatives and ongoing platform improvements.
• Collaborate with development, QA, infrastructure, operations, and business teams to deliver reliable solutions.

Application & Production Support

• Maintain a strong understanding of enterprise applications, databases, interfaces, middleware, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure.
• Support production and non-production environments across multiple technology platforms.
• Assist with application deployments, upgrades, configurations, patching, and releases.
• Troubleshoot complex application, database, integration, and infrastructure issues.
• Perform or support database administration and UNIX/Linux application administration tasks.
• Maintain operational procedures, technical documentation, and knowledge repositories.
• Participate in on-call support and incident management activities when required.

Snowflake & Tableau Administration

• Administer and support Snowflake and Tableau environments to ensure security, availability, reliability, and performance.
• Manage Snowflake databases, schemas, warehouses, users, roles, permissions, and configurations.
• Monitor workloads, queries, storage utilization, and platform performance while identifying optimization opportunities.
• Administer Tableau Server and/or Tableau Cloud, including users, permissions, projects, data sources, extracts, schedules, and subscriptions.
• Monitor Tableau performance and troubleshoot issues related to dashboards, refreshes, and scheduled processes.
• Implement and maintain access controls aligned with organizational security and governance standards.
• Support integrations between Tableau, Snowflake, and other enterprise data sources.
• Assist with platform upgrades, capacity planning, lifecycle management, and configuration changes.
• Maintain administration standards, documentation, and operational procedures.

Data, Reporting & Development Support

• Develop, maintain, and support enterprise reports, dashboards, queries, scripts, and data solutions.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, correction, archiving, and performance optimization activities.
• Partner with business stakeholders to convert reporting and analytics requirements into technical solutions.
• Support testing, deployment, and validation of application enhancements and fixes.
• Review database and production scripts for quality, accuracy, and readiness.
• Ensure scheduled processes and batch jobs are documented, monitored, and optimized for efficient operation.

Collaboration & Customer Support

• Partner with technical and business teams to deliver effective solutions and resolve issues.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application and customer support requests.
• Communicate project status, risks, and issue resolution updates to stakeholders and leadership.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and share best practices with team members.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years of professional IT experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Application Development
• Systems Analysis
• Database Administration
• Platform Administration
• Production Support
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Snowflake administration and performance optimization
• Tableau Server and/or Tableau Cloud administration
• Oracle, SQL Server, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Java and enterprise application development
• UNIX/Linux administration and shell scripting
• AWS and cloud-based environments
• Application integrations and system interfaces
• Database administration and query tuning
• Enterprise reporting and analytics
• XML, XSLT, and service-oriented architecture (SOA)
• HIPAA and/or HL7 environments
• Production application support and batch processing
