Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP Canada Payroll Consultant to support the implementation, configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of SAP HCM Payroll solutions for Canadian payroll operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Canadian payroll legislation, SAP Payroll schema and rules, payroll processing, and integration with related SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and support SAP HCM Payroll for Canada (PY-CA).
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP payroll solutions.
  • Design, configure, test, and deploy payroll schemas, rules, wage types, and payroll functions.
  • Manage payroll processing cycles, year-end activities, and statutory reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian federal and provincial payroll regulations, including:
    • Income Tax
    • CPP (Canada Pension Plan)
    • EI (Employment Insurance)
    • T4/T4A reporting
    • ROE (Record of Employment)
  • Support payroll integration with:
    • Personnel Administration (PA)
    • Organizational Management (OM)
    • Time Management (TM)
    • Benefits Administration
    • Finance (FI/CO)
  • Troubleshoot payroll calculation issues and provide root-cause analysis.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers for custom enhancements.
  • Support payroll upgrades, support packs, and legislative updates.
  • Provide end-user training and post-go-live support.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years of SAP HCM Payroll experience with a focus on Canada Payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP Payroll schemas, PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules), wage types, and payroll clusters.
  • Experience with Canadian payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
  • Hands-on experience in payroll configuration and payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of SAP HCM modules such as PA, OM, TM, and Benefits.
  • Experience in payroll troubleshooting and production support.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
  • SAP HCM or SuccessFactors certification.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA HCM integrations.
  • Knowledge of SAP Fiori applications for payroll and HR processes.
  • Exposure to SAP HR renewal and payroll migration projects.
