The Role • Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize specialized equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for container management. • Conduct pre and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily logistics and tasks. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including night shifts. • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
