Job Description

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an AV Instructional Technology Technician to provide operational, technical, and customer support for audiovisual and instructional technology across classrooms, conference rooms, meeting spaces, and university event venues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain projectors, displays, microphones, speakers, cameras, control systems, and video conferencing platforms.
  • Perform AV system testing, preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, and minor installations.
  • Provide technical support for classrooms, conferences, commencements, executive functions, and live events.
  • Document service requests, repairs, maintenance, and equipment changes through ticketing/inventory systems.
  • Assist faculty, staff, students, guests, and event organizers with AV and presentation technology.
  • Support AV technology projects, upgrades, emergency operations, and system readiness.
  • Provide evening, weekend, holiday, and other non-standard-hour event support.

Education & Experience

  • At least 2 years of professional/enterprise AV support experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree and 2–4 years of AV experience preferred.
  • Ability to support scheduled evenings, weekends, holidays, and non-standard hours.
