Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA FICO Solution Architect to lead the design and implementation of SAP Finance solutions across complex enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across SAP FICO and S/4HANA Finance, with a proven background in solution architecture, finance transformation, S/4HANA implementations/conversions, integration, and end-to-end solution design.
This role requires a senior-level professional who can work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, technical teams, and project leadership to define scalable SAP Finance solutions and drive successful implementation.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the architecture and solution design for SAP S/4HANA Finance and FICO initiatives.
  • Design end-to-end solutions across Financial Accounting and Controlling processes.
  • Provide architectural guidance for FI-GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, CO, Profit Center Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and CO-PA/Margin Analysis.
  • Lead SAP ECC to S/4HANA Finance transformation, conversion, and implementation activities.
  • Define Finance architecture, integration strategy, process design, and solution roadmaps.
  • Provide expertise on S/4HANA Finance capabilities including Universal Journal, ACDOCA, New Asset Accounting, New GL, parallel ledgers, document splitting, and Margin Analysis.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to design FI integration with MM, SD, PP, PS, Procurement, Supply Chain, and other SAP modules.
  • Lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, solution design, configuration strategy, and functional specifications.
  • Support data migration, reconciliation, testing, cutover, and post-go-live activities.
  • Evaluate existing Finance processes and recommend improvements aligned with S/4HANA best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical teams on Fiori, CDS Views, APIs, reporting, analytics, and integration requirements.
  • Provide architectural governance and ensure solutions follow enterprise standards and SAP best practices.
  • Mentor senior consultants and provide technical/functional direction across Finance workstreams.
Required Qualifications
  • 12+ years of SAP Finance/FICO experience.
  • Strong experience as an SAP FICO Architect, Finance Architect, Solution Architect, or equivalent senior leadership role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance.
  • Proven experience with S/4HANA implementation, conversion, or migration projects.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP FI and CO processes.
  • Experience with Universal Journal / ACDOCA and the S/4HANA Finance data model.
  • Strong understanding of FI/CO integration with MM, SD, PP, PS, and other SAP processes.
  • Experience with New GL, Asset Accounting, CO-PA/Margin Analysis, Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting.
  • Strong solution design, architecture, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in large enterprise SAP transformation programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SAP Activate implementation experience.
  • Experience with Greenfield and/or Brownfield S/4HANA programs.
  • Central Finance experience.
  • SAP Fiori and CDS Views knowledge.
  • Embedded Analytics / SAP Analytics Cloud exposure.
  • Experience with SAP BTP, APIs, OData, or integration technologies.
  • Strong experience with finance transformation and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
