We're hiring on behalf of a leading defense contractor renowned for its critical contributions to national security and technological advancement. This organization is seeking a visionary leader to spearhead engineering initiatives for a vital submarine combat control system, instrumental in U.S. Navy undersea warfare.

The Role

• Serve as the primary technical authority for a critical combat control system, overseeing all aspects of system architecture, integration, and engineering.
• Direct system architecture evaluations, technology trade studies, and performance assessments to guide future development.
• Lead the definition and refinement of system requirements, ensuring alignment with Navy specifications and mission needs.
• Oversee technical review processes, including design and code reviews, to maintain high standards of quality and performance.
• Monitor design integration across hardware, software, and external interfaces for cohesive system functionality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess and mitigate technical risks and identify innovation opportunities.

What You'll Need

• Minimum of 15 years of combined experience in Combat Systems, Systems Architecture, Technology Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Software Engineering.
• Demonstrated leadership in evaluating system architectures and selecting emerging technologies for development strategies.
• Experience with DoD acquisition and engineering practices, including architecture frameworks and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Proven track record in reviewing engineering products and leading system testing and integration efforts.
• Strong knowledge of Navy submarine systems and undersea warfare operations, with experience supporting combat control systems.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
