Senior BI / Data QA Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior BI/Data QA Engineer in Clearwater, FL.

Summary

We are seeking a Senior BI/Data QA Engineer to own data quality and testing across enterprise data warehouse and business intelligence solutions. This role requires strong hands-on experience with SQL, EDW, Change Data Capture (CDC), and Tableau, with an emphasis on end-to-end data validation and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

• Design complex SQL validations to reconcile source and target datasets, transformations, aggregates, and business rules
• Test EDW incremental loads and CDC processes, including inserts, updates, deletes, audit fields, high-water marks, and change windows
• Validate data accuracy, completeness, deduplication, and proper handling of late-arriving or out-of-order data
• Test SCD Type 2 and historical data behavior within the warehouse
• Perform end-to-end validation from source systems, EDW, Tableau dashboards and reports
• Validate Tableau calculations, filters, extracts, refreshes, row-level security, and performance
• Troubleshoot data discrepancies and identify root causes across database, ETL/EDW, and reporting layers
• Partner closely with data engineering and BI/reporting teams to establish QA strategy and ensure production-ready data

REQUIREMENTS:

• Advanced SQL, EDW/Data Warehousing, CDC, Tableau, data validation, and senior-level QA strategy/ownership

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
