HR Generalist

Mom's Meals, a mission-driven provider of ready-to-heat meals, seeks an HR Generalist to support our growing Ankeny facility. In this role, you'll handle recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration for production, logistics, and office staff. You'll coordinate benefits, leaves, HRIS data, and compliance with employment and safety regulations. Partnering closely with leaders, you will promote our caring, high-performance culture, support training and policy implementation, and help ensure a safe, inclusive, and supportive workplace for employees who serve vulnerable clients.

Responsibilities

• Support full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding for production, logistics, and corporate roles
• Administer HR policies, maintain employee records, and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
• Assist managers with employee relations, investigations, corrective actions, and performance management
• Coordinate benefits enrollment, leave management, and respond to basic benefits and payroll-related questions
• Compile HR metrics and reports to support workforce planning and retention initiatives
• Support HR training programs on safety, harassment prevention, and company culture
• Partner with leadership to promote a mission-driven, service-focused culture aligned with Mom's Meals values
• Maintain HRIS data accuracy and support process improvements and HR projects as assigned
