Job Description
We're working with a well-established and growing main contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality projects across Scotland. Due to a strong pipeline of secured work, they're looking to appoint a Project Manager to join their team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has already gained experience delivering construction projects and is looking for greater responsibility, autonomy, and career progression within a supportive business.
The Role
As Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring they're delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Working closely with site teams, commercial staff, clients, and subcontractors, you'll play a key role in successfully delivering a range of projects across the commercial, education, healthcare, industrial and public sectors.
Responsibilities
- Manage construction projects from inception to handover.
- Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors.
- Develop and monitor project programmes.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and in line with company procedures.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Monitor project costs and support commercial performance.
- Identify and manage project risks.
- Maintain high standards of quality throughout delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working for a main contractor in a Site Manager, Project Manager or similar delivery role.
- Proven experience managing construction projects or leading packages on larger schemes.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Commercial awareness and problem-solving ability.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification.
- A positive attitude and ambition to develop your career.
- Experience in the defense sector is advantageous.
- Must have or be able to obtain UK security clearance
