Network Engineer

No C2C or 3rd Party Candidates will be considered

This is a direct hire position but paid hourly do to on call/ overtime

Target rate is $40-$56 per hour plus benefits since it is a full time/ direct hire

Must sit 100% onsite in San Diego and must interview onsite

This position is established for the maintenance and operations of the network, server and storage environment. This position has the responsibility to maintain network switches and routers, server hardware, software patch levels, SAN storage systems and backups as well as adhere to corporate security policies. The position is also responsible for the overall operations of the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) environments, performance monitoring, and Disaster Recovery (DR) planning and testing. Maintain quality service standards set by the organization.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills):
* Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, such as Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
* CCNA, MCSE, or equivalent certification.
* Experience managing Windows and Linux servers.
* Knowledge of SAN, replication and encryption technology.
* Understanding of installation and configuration of virtual servers/networks.
* Experience managing server environments of 300+ servers highly preferred.
* 5 years' experience in heterogeneous network environment.
* Knowledge of telecommunications preferred.
* Ability to multi-task.
* Good organizational skills.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
