Job Title: CMM Programmer / Metrology Technician

Location: Medford, NY (Onsite)

Duration: 9 Months Contract (40 hours per week)

Kindly Note: Mon-Fri 7:30AM - 4:30PM (with 45 min lunch) Overtime: There will be overtime, dependent on business needs could be mandatory.

Direct Client Need

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to perform first-article, in-process, and final inspections.

  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, models, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).

  • Create, modify, and troubleshoot CMM programs (e.g., Calypso)

  • Perform dimensional analysis using micrometers, calipers, height gages, optical comparators, and other precision instruments.

  • Document inspection results and generate reports for quality records, FAIRs, and customer submissions.

  • Identify nonconformances and communicate findings to engineering, production, and quality teams.

  • Support root-cause investigations, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain calibration of inspection tools and follow all standard work, safety procedures, and quality system requirements.

  • Assist with training operators and inspectors on print reading and measurement techniques.

  • 1+ years’ experience with CMM programming

  • Aerospace, defense, automotive, or precision machining background.

  • Experience with FAIRs, PPAPs, and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality documentation systems

  • Education: HS Diploma or GED equivalent
