Job Description

Pinon Unified School District is seeking a High School Science Teacher who will be responsible for educating and inspiring students in the field of science. As a High School Science Teacher, you will be an integral member of our team, contributing to our mission of providing an exceptional education to our students.


Responsibilities

  • Develop lesson plans and teach high school science classes to students in grades 9-12, providing a meaningful and engaging learning experience for all students
  • Create a positive learning environment that supports students' social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Assess student progress and provide timely feedback to students and their families
  • Incorporate technology and other resources into lesson plans to enhance student learning
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide curriculum initiatives and assessments
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
  • Hold a nArizona Department of Education State teaching Certification in Secondary education
  • Hold an IVP Clearance card
  • Masters in the content area (Science)
  • Strong knowledge of high school-level science content and curriculum standards
  • Previous experience teaching high school science preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support student learning
