Technical Program Manager III

Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid - 4 Days Onsite / 1 Day Remote)

Employment Type: Long Term Contract

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager III to support large-scale software delivery initiatives within a Connected Living technology organization. This role will drive cross-functional programs focused on customer-facing application platforms, partnering closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to deliver complex initiatives from planning through deployment.

The ideal candidate combines strong program management expertise with a solid understanding of software development environments, enabling them to anticipate risks, facilitate technical discussions, and drive successful outcomes across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead one or more complex enterprise technology programs consisting of multiple interconnected projects.
  • Develop and maintain program strategies, project roadmaps, schedules, milestones, and delivery plans.
  • Coordinate software release activities and support deployment planning across multiple teams.
  • Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks while proactively resolving issues that may impact delivery.
  • Track key project milestones and recommend adjustments to scope, schedule, resources, and priorities as needed.
  • Facilitate sprint planning and cross-functional planning activities.
  • Provide executive-level status reporting, leadership updates, and program communications.
  • Support complex technical initiatives involving APIs, system integrations, software troubleshooting, and platform dependencies.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partner teams to ensure successful end-to-end delivery.
  • Drive accountability, encourage solution-focused discussions, and help teams achieve measurable outcomes.


Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of Program Management or Project Management experience within technology organizations.
  • Experience working directly with software engineering teams in a software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles (SDLC), release management, and enterprise program execution.
  • Experience managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, senior leadership, and business partners.
  • Experience with risk management, dependency management, and executive reporting.
  • Proven ability to lead discussions, influence stakeholders, and drive results.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Project Management certification such as PMP or equivalent.
  • Experience supporting customer-facing digital products, platforms, or mobile applications.
  • Prior experience in large enterprise environments with complex organizational structures.
