Engineering Operations Technician

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Cleared Engineering Operations Technician to support critical AWS data center infrastructure. You will monitor and maintain electrical, mechanical, and networking systems, perform routine inspections, respond to alarms, and execute work orders to maximize uptime. Leveraging your active security clearance, you'll operate in secure environments, follow strict safety and change-management procedures, document incidents, and support root cause analysis. You'll collaborate with InfraOps and DCEO engineers, learn AWS standards, and help drive continuous improvement across data center operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain critical data center electrical, mechanical, and networking systems
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance to ensure uptime
• Respond to alarms and incidents, troubleshoot issues, and escalate as needed
• Execute work orders and changes following AWS safety and change-management procedures
• Support root cause analysis and documentation for operational events
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, and technical documentation
• Collaborate with Infra
• Ops and DCEO engineering teams on infrastructure projects
• Ensure compliance with security, clearance, and regulatory requirements
• Identify and recommend process and reliability improvements
• Support onboarding and knowledge sharing within the operations team
