Job Description

  • Overview*

Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight across diverse routes with energy and precision! In this vital role, you'll operate tractor-trailers, Bobtail, Rock truck, Water truck. Hauling water, sand and gravel.

  • Duties*
  • Safely operate tractor-trailers across over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
  • Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques when necessary, ensuring cargo is secured properly for transportation.
  • Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to follow designated routes while adjusting plans as needed for traffic or weather conditions.
  • Transport a variety of cargo including water, sand and gravel.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers to ensure safety standards are met; report any issues immediately.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and cargo manifests in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with logistics teams to plan delivery schedules, coordinate pickups, and optimize route efficiency.

  • Qualifications*
  • Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission preferred.
  • Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including delivery driving and route driving in various environments.
  • Knowledge of refrigerated trailer operation, hazardous materials regulations, and freight handling procedures.
  • Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently and adapt to changing routes or schedules.
  • Familiarity with truck loading/unloading techniques such as forklift operation or manual handling for freight management.
  • Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations, DOT compliance standards, and hazardous materials regulations.
  • Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service.
