Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Lead system integration activities across BESS, BMS, PCS, EMS, plant controls, SCADA, substations, metering, communications, cybersecurity, and utility interfaces.
  • Develop responsibility matrices, interface documents, points lists, network boundaries, and sequence-of-operations requirements.
  • Review controls narratives, network architecture, panel layouts, I/O lists, alarm strategies, communications pathways, redundancy requirements, and system designs.
  • Coordinate with OEMs, system integrators, utilities, engineers, commissioning teams, and project stakeholders.
  • Support implementation and testing of communication protocols including DNP3, Modbus TCP, OPC UA, ICCP, and related systems.
  • Validate active and reactive power controls, charge and discharge functionality, voltage and frequency response, ramp rates, curtailment, and operating modes.
  • Support preconstruction activities, including technical reviews, RFP development, bid evaluations, scope clarification, and contract requirements.
  • Develop standard architectures, specifications, templates, testing procedures, and best practices for repeatable project delivery.
  • Plan and support FATs, SATs, point-to-point testing, network validation, software testing, and integrated system testing.
  • Support commissioning, energization, troubleshooting, performance testing, and issue resolution.
