NIEM Subject Matter Expert

Role: Technical Lead/NIEM Subject Matter Expert

Duration: 4 months

Location: Topeka, KS- Mostly Remote within USA

 

Required Qualifications:

a. A minimum of five (5) years of experience with NIEM specifications, IEPD development, or equivalent national data standards.

b. Demonstrated experience developing at least two (2) NIEM-conformant IEPDs or equivalent data exchange implementations.

c. Strong knowledge of MMUCC data elements and transportation/public safety data exchange requirements.

d. Working knowledge of crash data systems, Records Management Systems (RMS), or public safety data exchange (preferred).

 

References: Provide a minimum of three (3) firm-level references (with contact name and

current telephone number) for prior NIEM IEPD development or comparable national data exchange

standards projects.

Deliverables:

Task 1: Project Kick-Off and Planning —kickoff meeting attendance, input to project schedule and Project Management Plan, input to risk register/issue log

Task 2: NIEM IEPD Development —complete NIEM IEPD package, validation report, implementation guidance.

Task 3: IEPD Updates (NHTSA Alignment Assessment) — impact assessment, updated IEPD, updated validation report and documentation, change summary

Task 4: Documentation and Training — Data Dictionary and Mapping Guide, knowledge transfer session(s)

Task 5: Validation and Testing — issue log, issue resolution documentation, final issue log
