The Role

• Operate heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) for loading and unloading shipping containers.
• Safely position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Conduct pre and post-operation inspections of equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage container movements and tasks efficiently.
• Maintain a strong safety record by adhering to established protocols and procedures.
• Ensure accurate and timely handling of containers to keep freight moving smoothly.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
