The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring timely freight movement. • Position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard using hostlers. • Stack, organize, and relocate containers according to operational needs. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements. What You'll Need • A valid driver’s license is mandatory. • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. • Basic communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. • Open availability for scheduled shifts.
