Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite; occasional travel to Winston-Salem, NC)
Duration: Full-time / Contract-to-Hire
Salary: $120,000 per year + 10% bonus + benefits 
Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced M365 Engineer – Exchange to manage and support Microsoft 365 communication platforms, with a primary focus on Exchange Online, on-premises Exchange, Microsoft Teams, and M365 security and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Exchange Online and on-premises Exchange, including hybrid configurations, mail flow, connectors, transport rules, and troubleshooting.
• Manage email security using Exchange Online Protection (EOP), Microsoft Defender for Office 365, SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.
• Configure Microsoft Teams policies, governance, lifecycle management, and integrations with Jira and ServiceNow.
• Support Microsoft Purview retention policies, compliance, information governance, and data lifecycle management.
• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, SSO, enterprise applications, and directory synchronization.
• Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell scripting.
• Support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, certificates, and hybrid identity infrastructure.
• Participate in security audits, change management, after-hours maintenance, and on-call support.

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile
Look for candidates with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Exchange engineering and Microsoft 365 administration, particularly those who have managed hybrid Exchange environments, email security, and enterprise collaboration platforms.
Recruiting priorities:
Exchange Online + on-premises Exchange + hybrid mail flow.

• Microsoft Teams administration.

• Willingness to work onsite in Charlotte, NC, three days per week, with occasional travel to Winston-Salem.
