Business Development Representative

About the Role

Join an early sales team at an AI-powered company serving consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. You will manage brand accounts from prospecting through repeat orders, helping connect food and beverage products with retailers.

What You'll Do

• Translate each brand's goals into a focused list of prospective retailers.

• Use an AI prospecting platform to find and prioritize retailer leads.

• Contact retailer buyers and owners by phone and email, send product samples, and follow up to close purchase orders.

• Manage accounts after the initial sale by checking on samples, encouraging reorders, and sharing outreach feedback with brands.

• Share regular feedback with engineers to help improve the sales platform.

What We're Looking For

• Zero to three years of sales development or account executive experience, ideally with a CPG broker or brand.

• A bachelor's degree and experience with cold outbound prospecting.

• Ability to handle rejection and respond effectively to objections.

• Comfort with AI tools and enthusiasm for trying new technology.

• CPG experience is preferred; experience outside the restaurant industry may also be relevant.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary is $60,000 to $70,000 annually, with uncapped commission on recurring orders. Visa sponsorship is not available; candidates must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

On-site, five days per week in Austin, Texas.
