Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior .NET/SQL Full-Stack Developer to support and enhance enterprise applications for the Iowa Department of Health & Human Services.

The ideal candidate should be strong in C#, .NET, SQL Server, SSRS, API development, and Azure DevOps. The candidate will work across the application stack, troubleshoot production issues, develop new features, support integrations, and modernize legacy applications.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of experience with C# and .NET
• Strong experience with ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core
• 5+ years of SQL Server development and performance tuning
• Strong experience with T-SQL, Stored Procedures, and Query Optimization
• 5+ years of RESTful and/or SOAP API development
• 5+ years of Azure DevOps experience, including CI/CD pipelines
• Strong experience with SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and SASS
• Strong understanding of WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
• Experience supporting enterprise production applications
• Experience working across front-end, backend, database, and integration layers
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET Core
• Design and maintain SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and queries
• Develop and support REST/SOAP APIs and middleware integrations
• Create and maintain SSRS reports
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Implement application enhancements and new functionality
• Support front-end development and accessibility improvements
• Work on legacy application modernization and technical debt reduction
• Manage code, deployments, and CI/CD using Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and technical teams
• Ensure applications meet security and accessibility requirements
