Senior React AI Developer
12-Month Contract + potential 12 month extension
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, test and maintain modern web applications using React and TypeScript.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions and user experiences.
  • Build secure, accessible and maintainable applications aligned with best practices and standards.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging and documentation.
  • Contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of reusable components and frontend frameworks.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript and modern frontend development practices.
  • Solid understanding of component-based architecture, state management, API integration and responsive UI development.
  • Experience delivering accessible digital services and applying accessibility standards.
  • Hands-on experience with source control, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven use of AI-assisted development tools while maintaining code quality and accountability.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable
  • Experience with modern frontend ecosystems, cloud-native platforms and API-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to AI-augmented or specification-driven development approaches.
  • Experience using agentic AI development tools and workflows.
  • Previous experience working within government or highly regulated environments.
Additional Information
  • Australian Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a Baseline Security Clearance is required.
