Application Developer (APIs, Events, Platform Engineering) :: Remote (Fulltime)

We are seeking an experienced Application Developer (APIs, Events, Platform Engineering) to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and platform services on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, TypeScript, event-driven architectures, contract-first API development, platform engineering, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). This role requires hands-on experience building robust APIs, event-driven systems, authorization frameworks, and cloud-native solutions for enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and TypeScript.
• Build and manage contract-first APIs using OpenAPI/Swagger standards and API governance best practices.
• Develop event-driven solutions leveraging Amazon EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Lambda, and other AWS services.
• Design and implement API integrations, microservices, and reusable platform services.
• Implement fine-grained authorization and access control using Amazon Verified Permissions and Cedar policies.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Collaborate with Architects, DevOps Engineers, Product Owners, and Engineering teams to define scalable platform solutions.
• Ensure application reliability, security, scalability, observability, and operational excellence.
• Create automated testing frameworks and implement CI/CD pipelines for application delivery.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Contribute to platform engineering initiatives, developer experience improvements, and engineering best practices
