We are seeking a passionate Commis Chef to join our culinary team. Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment serving our TurBARlence Tavern, room service and conference spaces.  You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality food experience, maintaining exceptional food standards and supporting the wider kitchen team. 

Duties include (but not limited to):

• Maintain consistent food quality, presentation and portion control
• Ensure strict stock rotation and minimum wastage  
• Prepare and ensure availability of mis en place as required
• Follow all hotel and kitchen policies, procedures and standards
• Provide accurate menu and allergen information to the Food and Beverage team when required
• Keeps all working areas clean and tidy
• Be familiar with other areas in the Kitchen so when called upon, assistance can be provided

• Previous chef experience
• Relevant cookery or trade qualifications
• Experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP
• Positive, flexible and able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail and consistent food quality
• Available across early mornings, weekends and public holidays
• Full working rights in Australia
• Immediate start (preferred)
