Role Summary
The Electrical Engineer III supports the design, analysis, and execution of electrical engineering projects within industrial facilities. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams from project initiation through construction and commissioning. The position requires technical expertise in power distribution and medium-voltage systems, with a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the development and review of electrical design concepts for industrial projects.
- Perform electrical system analysis, including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, grounding, and power system studies.
- Prepare and review electrical construction drawing packages, specifications, and engineering calculations.
- Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met effectively.
- Support procurement activities, vendor drawing reviews, and construction site activities.
- Assist with commissioning and startup activities to ensure successful project completion.
- Ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC, NESC, and other relevant standards and codes.
- Utilize electrical system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower for project analyses.
- Manage assigned tasks independently while coordinating with senior engineers and project managers.
- Maintain organized documentation and correspondence throughout project lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of electrical engineering experience in an industrial or EPC environment.
- Experience supporting industrial electrical power system design and implementation.
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems, including medium-voltage and low-voltage applications.
- Familiarity with IEEE, NEC, and NESC standards and regulations.
- Proficiency with electrical system analysis software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
- Working knowledge of equipment procurement, vendor review, and construction support activities.
- Eligible to work in the specified location; relocation assistance if applicable.
Publishing Pay Range: $138,000.00 - $148,000.00 annually
This position offers a hybrid schedule, with time split between the office and remote work.
