Forward Deployed Engineer - Public Sector, Nonprofit & Education

• Design, build, and deploy agentic AI solutions in enterprise customer environments
• Work with a Deployment Strategist and delivery team to co-build production solutions
• Develop AI agents and experiences that take actions for organizations
• Design prompts, reasoning, tool calls, and integrations with customer systems
• Own technical components from architecture selection through production deployment, validation, and observability
• Build and integrate data pipelines on Salesforce Data 360, Snowflake, Databricks, and customer data platforms
• Model data, deploy pipelines, and validate outputs
• Build and maintain agent performance dashboards and customer KPI reporting
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs from concept to deployment
• Co-build with customers and partners and share best practices and enablement
• Surface platform gaps, edge cases, and field insights to senior engineers and product teams
• Translate customer business challenges into deployable agentic solutions
• Experiment with emerging AI tools, models, and frameworks and share learnings

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of software engineering or technical delivery experience; 6-10 years for Senior levels
• At least one production system to demonstrate
• Prior customer-facing technical delivery experience in consulting, professional services, or forward deployed engineering
• Experience delivering customer-facing projects within Public Sector, Higher Education, or Nonprofit environments
• Fluency in at least one of Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering
• Deep understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns
• Ability to work with sales teams and customer architects
• Ability to ship quality code and evaluate AI outputs with engineering rigor
• Active experimentation with AI/data tools, models, and frameworks
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time
• Salesforce platform experience or certifications (Administrator, Platform Developer I, Agentforce Specialist) nice-to-have
• Familiarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, and orchestration patterns nice-to-have
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery nice-to-have
• Experience in data engineering, platform architecture, or headless deployments nice-to-have
