Job Title: Engineering Manager (Mern Stack)
Location: Remote, travel based on needs
Job Description
  • Strong MERN stack experience, with exposure to DevOps, deployment practices, Istio, Kafka, and Liquibase preferred.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as Claude and SDD practices is preferred.
  • Own end-to-end software delivery from planning and design through development, testing, deployment, and production readiness.
  • Build, lead, and develop high-performing engineering teams, including coaching technical leads and engineers.
  • Partner with Architects to ensure alignment with solution architecture and modern engineering standards.
  • Drive modernization using cloud-native, API-first, event-driven, CI/CD, DevSecOps, automation, and observability practices.
  • Manage delivery plans, priorities, dependencies, technical debt, risks, and engineering blockers.
  • Ensure high standards for code quality, security, performance, scalability, reliability, and resilience.
  • Coordinate across Business, Architecture, Platform, SRE, Security, and dependent engineering teams.
  • Drive production readiness and ensure smooth migration from legacy to modern platforms.
  • Provide transparent communication on delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and engineering health.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence.
Required Experience
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar engineering leadership role.
  • Strong software engineering and technical leadership background.
  • Experience with application modernization, cloud platforms, APIs/microservices, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, cross-team software delivery.
  • Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
