We are looking for a kind, chatty and compassionate Care Professional to support clients within the Okehampton area.

What You Will Be Doing

Sharing conversation and laughter
Supporting daily walks and outings
Preparing meals and encouraging regular eating and drinking
Administering and recording medication
Providing light housekeeping such as laundry and bed changes
Offering reassurance
Personal care

Part-Time Care Assistant – Okehampton (Drivers Only)
Local Clients | Flexible Hours | £13.05 to £20.02 per hour

At Home Instead Okehampton, we provide thoughtful, relationship-led support to older adults living in and around the local community. We don’t rush visits, and we don’t treat people like tasks on a rota. Instead, we match you with regular clients so you can build trust, offer consistency, and truly make a difference.

Whether you’re returning to work, semi-retired, or simply want to use your time in a more rewarding way, this could be the perfect opportunity.

What You’ll Do:

  • Visit local clients across Okehampton for one-to-one support

  • Provide companionship and emotional reassurance

  • Help with meals, errands, light housework and daily routines

  • Support with personal care such as washing, dressing, and medication prompts

  • Encourage independence and confidence at home

What You’ll Get:

  • £13.05 to £20.02 per hour

    • Higher rates apply for NVQ Level 3 and bank holiday shifts

  • Paid waiting time between visits

  • Mileage paid at 40p per mile

  • Flexible part-time hours that work around your life

  • Full, paid training – no previous experience required

  • Regular clients in the local area

  • Ongoing support from a friendly, approachable team

You’ll Need To:

  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have access to your own car

  • Have a kind, dependable nature

  • Be comfortable supporting with personal care

  • Be available for part-time weekday and/or evening hours
