Our recruiting firm is partnering with a diversified operating company with businesses spanning industrial services, infrastructure, environmental solutions, energy, manufacturing, and field operations. We are seeking a Director of Business Applications, AI & Digital Transformation to lead enterprise application strategy, systems integration, data architecture, analytics, and AI-driven innovation.
This leadership role will be responsible for modernizing the organization's technology ecosystem, including a strategic transition from Salesforce to a proprietary business platform. The successful candidate will drive enterprise AI adoption, intelligent automation, and digital transformation initiatives while establishing governance, development standards, and scalable technology foundations that support long-term growth.

Job Description
The Director of Business Applications, AI & Digital Transformation will partner closely with executive leadership to identify opportunities where technology, automation, and artificial intelligence can improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and business outcomes across the enterprise.
Responsibilities

Lead the strategy, architecture, implementation, and optimization of business applications supporting finance, operations, and corporate functions.
Oversee the migration from Salesforce to a proprietary internal platform and ensure successful adoption across the organization.
Design, develop, and maintain integrations between enterprise applications, ERP systems, financial platforms, business intelligence tools, and custom solutions.
Drive enterprise AI strategy, including the evaluation, implementation, and governance of AI technologies and intelligent automation solutions.
Develop AI-powered assistants, copilots, agentic workflows, and automated business processes that improve productivity and business performance.
Identify and implement opportunities for generative AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and intelligent reporting.
Build and enhance enterprise reporting capabilities, executive dashboards, KPI tracking, and real-time operational and financial visibility.
Establish scalable data models, analytics frameworks, and reporting architectures that support business intelligence and AI initiatives.
Create and maintain governance frameworks, development standards, testing methodologies, quality assurance processes, and technical documentation.
Partner with business stakeholders to improve processes, streamline operations, and align technology investments with strategic objectives.
Provide executive-level guidance, oversight, and governance across technology initiatives to ensure scalability, security, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

Qualifications
Required

8+ years of experience leading application development, enterprise systems, systems integration, digital transformation, or related technology initiatives.
Experience with Incorta
Experience with AWS, Cursor, machine learning platforms, or enterprise AI technologies.
Experience with Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, or similar AI platforms.
Experience designing, deploying, and managing AI agents, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation solutions.
Prior experience leading Salesforce modernization, replacement, or large-scale CRM transformation initiatives.
Experience supporting finance, accounting, operations, ERP, CRM, or other enterprise business platforms.
Strong knowledge of software architecture, APIs, integrations, cloud technologies, data management, and enterprise application ecosystems.
Demonstrated success delivering complex technology solutions from strategy through implementation and adoption.
Experience establishing governance frameworks, development standards, quality controls, and technology best practices.
Experience implementing AI, automation, intelligent workflow, or digital transformation solutions within an enterprise environment.
Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and communication skills with the ability to influence executive leadership.
Proven ability to balance innovation, operational requirements, governance, and business objectives.

Preferred

Strong background in business intelligence, data analytics, and data-driven decision support.
Experience supporting industrial services, infrastructure, environmental services, energy, manufacturing, or field operations organizations.
Experience developing AI-enabled reporting, forecasting, operational intelligence, or financial analytics solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
