Business Development Intern at Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB)

Job Purpose

To support the Smart Mobility Team in the delivery of key strategic initiatives. This will include assisting the E-Performance team with Porsche’s electrification strategy, the E-Commerce team with the online digital experience and any other department tasks as required.

This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying an Undergraduate degree at university, seeking a placement for their third year. The role will commence in August 2027. Please ensure that you have read and understood the requirements of the role before applying.

Responsibilities:

E-Performance and Smart Mobility

• To support the tracking and monitoring of the EV-strategy plan for the Porsche Network in line with Porsche AG business objectives.
• Research market trends for the E-Performance team and ensure any key information is communicated to the appropriate stakeholders within the organization.
•  Work with the E-Performance Manager on the rollout and development of our Charging Ecosystem.
• Support the department in any E-Performance and Electrification related initiatives both in the office or at external events.

Digitalisation and E-Commerce

• Provide Support to the team in relation to strategic dealer and E-Commerce platform projects. Using relevant skills to analyse data, collect market insight and feedback from our dealers.
• Assist and support the E-Commerce department with reviewing data, process and engaging with our German colleagues on process, translations, and issue resolution.
• Support the E-Commerce Manager with the management and continuous improvement of our Online Car Sales platform.

Dealer Support and Development

• Provide a support function to the network on our digital platforms – resolving general queries invoice queries, refunds and other topics as required.
• Upload communications to PPN (Porsche Intranet) and upload of monthly reporting to individual Porsche Centre reporting groups.
• Assist with preparation of business presentations e.g., Board Meetings, Network Briefings and, Performance Updates.
• Business Operations
• Assist the team and wider department with the internal processes of purchasing, invoicing, process compliance and other duties to help the department be the benchmark in PCGB.

Minimum Qualifications

·         Undergraduate Business-related degree.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent level of PC literacy, including MS Office – especially MS Excel.

·         Highly proficient in both spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

·         Interested in the automotive industry and innovation.

·         Basic accounting knowledge.

·         Good communication and teamwork abilities.

·         Basic knowledge of market research and business strategies.

Porsche Cars GB Ltd and Porsche Retail Head Office is located conveniently by junction 12 of the M4, adjacent to a retail park, gym, and well-known fast-food restaurants. It is within walking distance of Theale's main line train station and a bus stop which operate regular services to Reading Town Centre.
