Our hotel
The Balmoral is located at Edinburgh’s most prestigious address, No. 1 Princes Street, where the Old Town stops and the New Town begins. Our hotel’s majestic clock defines the city’s skyline and since the day we opened in 1902 it has run three minutes fast to ensure our guests will never miss their train.
Your key responsibilities
Rocco Forte Hotels is a collection of iconic hotels that respects the individuality of the location and its team members, encouraging them to be their natural selves while providing a local, authentic experience to our guests.
As a valued part of the Forte family, you will:
Be able to work independently whilst cooperating well with colleagues in own team and across departments
Be integral in maintaining immaculate standards of hygiene, health and safety in the kitchen and storage areas
Take pride in your work, which could include anything from ensuring the floors and food prep areas are spotless to helping the team with deliveries
Tailor your approach so that high quality results are achieved
Deliver discreet, understated and timely service, going that extra mile
Be knowledgeable of the hotel, our facilities and local area
Take ownership of performing the job well in line with the departmental standards

This role is part-time - 16 hours.
The successful candidate will be able to work a flexible rota, including day, evening, and weekend shifts, to support our business needs.

The salary of a Part-Time Kitchen Porter is £16,816 gross per annum (the expected package will be the salary plus the discretionary service charge)
