Job Description

Ready to make a real impact across a complex supply chain?

We're looking for a commercially minded and highly driven Logistics Account Manager to join our Supply Chain team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in connecting our business, customers and logistics partners to deliver outstanding service, operational excellence and continuous improvement.

You'll sit at the heart of our logistics operation, leading relationships with third-party logistics providers, driving performance against key service and cost metrics, and developing innovative solutions that enhance both customer experience and supply chain efficiency.

If you're passionate about logistics, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy influencing stakeholders across multiple functions, we'd love to hear from you.

This is more than a logistics role. It's an opportunity to influence key customer outcomes, shape logistics strategy, and work across a broad range of stakeholders within a dynamic supply chain environment.

You'll have the freedom to challenge existing processes, lead meaningful improvement projects, and build strong partnerships that directly impact business performance. If you're looking for a role that offers visibility, responsibility and genuine opportunities for growth, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

As Logistics Account Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring our warehousing and distribution operations deliver exceptional results while continuously identifying opportunities to improve service, efficiency and cost performance.

Logistics Operations & Partner Management

  • Act as the primary operational contact for our Logistics Service Providers (LSPs), building strong, collaborative relationships that drive performance and accountability.
  • Lead daily, weekly and monthly operational reviews, monitoring KPIs and ensuring service excellence across warehousing and distribution activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to optimise processes, reduce costs and improve customer outcomes.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on operational issues and translate findings into sustainable improvements.
  • Support the delivery of critical Supply Chain KPIs, including service levels, forecast accuracy and cost performance.

Customer Logistics Solutions

  • Partner closely with Customer Service, Supply Chain and Commercial teams to develop best-in-class logistics solutions.
  • Support key retail and grocery customers by identifying opportunities to enhance service levels and operational efficiency.
  • Contribute to customer-focused initiatives, including value-added services, co-packing activities and logistics optimisation projects.
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver mutual cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.

Budget & Cost Management

  • Take ownership of the monthly Warehouse & Distribution billing cycle with logistics partners.
  • Analyse costs, identify performance drivers and support robust financial management and budgeting processes.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure accurate reporting, forecasting and cost control.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic supply chain decision-making.

Pallet Management & Operational Control

  • Lead pallet management activities and supplier relationships, ensuring accurate stock control and effective asset management.
  • Monitor key performance indicators such as flow rates and dwell times.
  • Drive process improvements that enhance operational visibility and efficiency.

Coaching & Collaboration

  • Support and develop colleagues across the Logistics and broader Supply Chain team.
  • Share best practice, coach less experienced team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.
  • Build strong partnerships across Demand Planning, Customer Service, Finance and external logistics partners.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who combines operational expertise with strong commercial awareness and exceptional relationship management skills.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience managing third-party logistics providers across warehousing and/or distribution operations.
  • Strong project management capability, with experience leading multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience delivering operational improvements and driving measurable business results.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a structured approach to root cause analysis and decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience managing logistics tenders, contract transitions, network changes or provider exits.
  • FMCG sector experience.
  • Experience working within a matrix organisation.
  • Knowledge of SAP and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience.
  • Broad Supply Chain experience with a strong grounding in Logistics, Warehousing or Third-Party Logistics Management.

What Makes You Successful

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

  • Proactive, self-motivated and highly results focused.
  • Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions.
  • Energised by solving complex operational challenges.
  • A natural relationship builder who can influence without direct authority.
  • Passionate about continuous improvement and delivering exceptional customer service.
