2067 SITE IT SUPPORT ADMINISTRATOR (on-site San Antonio, TX)
POSITION SUMMARY
Site Administrator and PC Support on-site IT resource, supporting local and remote sales personnel. There are roughly 60 users across the offices as well as production and shipping system that require support. Additionally, this position serves as the on-site liaison to corporate.
This role requires a strong hands-on IT generalist who enjoys variety, takes ownership, and wants a visible role in a manufacturing environment. Corporate IT provides standards, escalation support, and enterprise tools; you provide the local knowledge, fast response, and follow-through. Currently run Epicor ERP and is preparing to migrate to NetSuite, so you will help support the current system and play an active part in the transition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Site IT Operations and End-User Support
• Serve as the first point of contact for all on-site IT needs, providing in-person and remote support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, phones, and peripherals.
• Log, prioritize, and resolve help desk tickets, escalating to Corporate IT or vendors when needed and following issues through to closure.
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding, including accounts, access, equipment, and Microsoft 365 setup, in coordination with HR and Corporate IT.
• Support local network infrastructure (switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls, cabling) and perform first-level troubleshooting before escalation.
• Coordinate conference room, collaboration, and audio/visual technology.
Manufacturing and Shop Floor Support
• Partner with operations, production, quality, and maintenance to keep shop floor technology running and minimize downtime.
• Support shop floor workstations, label and barcode printers, handheld scanners, tablets, and other production-connected devices.
• Assist with site systems such as badge access, security cameras, and time clocks, working with vendors as needed.
• Respond quickly to production-impacting issues, including after-hours or weekend support during critical events and planned maintenance.
Business Systems and ERP
• Provide day-to-day user support for the ERP, including user setup, security roles, basic troubleshooting, and report or dashboard requests.
• Act as the local escalation point between users, Corporate IT, and Epicor support for application issues.
• Support migration to NetSuite: gathering local requirements, assisting with data validation and testing, coordinating user training, and providing go-live and post-go-live support.
• Support and maintain business websites, including its B2C commerce site for the TST brand.
• Help users get the most out of business applications and identify opportunities to improve processes through technology.
Corporate IT Liaison
• Serve as Corporate IT's liaison, coordinating the implementation of enterprise projects, rollouts, and standards locally.
• Communicate site priorities, risks, and recurring issues back to Corporate IT, and keep leadership informed of IT activities that affect the business.
• Coordinate and supervise on-site work by vendors and contractors.
Security, Compliance, and Asset Management
• Follow and enforce IT security policies, including access control, patching, endpoint protection, and backups.
• Support IT general controls and audit requests, maintaining evidence such as access reviews and change records.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware, software, and licenses, and assist with purchasing within company guidelines.
• Maintain site documentation, including network diagrams, procedures, vendor contacts, and user guides.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 3+ years of hands-on IT support or systems administration experience, ideally as a site IT generalist or in a small IT team.
• Experience supporting users in a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or plant environment.
• Working experience with an ERP system (Epicor and NetSuite preferred) from a support, power-user, or administrator perspective.
• Solid knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments, Active Directory / Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Basic networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
• Comfortable working independently as the only IT person on site, managing competing priorities with good judgment.
• Clear, patient communication with users at every level, from the shop floor to leadership.
• Availability for occasional after-hours, weekend, and on-call support for critical issues.
• Associate's or bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Strongly preferred: Experience with NetSuite, or participation in an ERP implementation or migration.
• Epicor Kinetic administration experience, including BAQs, dashboards, or SSRS reports.
• Experience supporting barcode/label printing (e.g., Zebra, BarTender) and shop floor data collection.
• Exposure to Intune, endpoint management, or IT general controls and audit support.
• Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft 365 credentials.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
• First 90 days: Users and shop floor leaders know you, trust you, and get timely, consistent help.
• First 6 months: Site documentation, asset inventory, and help desk practices are current and aligned with Corporate IT standards.
• First year: You are a key on-site contributor to a smooth NetSuite migration and a reliable, well-run site IT environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Work is performed in both an office and a manufacturing environment, with regular time on the shop floor.
• Must follow plant safety rules and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) on the production floor.
• Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in spaces such as network closets or under desks.
• Occasional travel may be required for training or Corporate IT initiatives.
