Job Description

Job Title: International Tax Associate

Location: Charlotte, NC

Salary: $100,000-$120,000

Company Summary

A global investment management firm is seeking an International Tax Associate to join its growing corporate tax team. This individual will play a key role in supporting U.S. international tax compliance, planning, and reporting activities across a complex global structure. Working closely with tax, finance, legal, and external advisors, the International Tax Associate will provide technical analysis, oversee, oversee critical tax calculations, and contribute to strategic tax initiatives while helping ensure compliance with evolving international tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review international tax compliance and calculations, such as Form 5471, Pillar 2 and foreign tax credits
  • Support tax planning initiatives and provide technical analysis on complex international tax matters
  • Leverage tax technology and automation tools to improve compliance, reporting, and operational efficiency
  • Assist with tax audits, SOX compliance, technical research, and process improvement projects

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of international tax experience within public accounting, corporate tax, asset management, or multinational corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of U.S. international tax concepts including foreign tax credits, GILTI, Subpart F, international compliance, and evolving global tax legislation such as Pillar Two
  • CPA, EA, or progress toward a CPA or EA is preferred
  • Experience with tax technology platforms such as OneSource, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills
