Job Title: Senior OneStream Implementation Consultant (Financial Systems – Food & Beverage)

 Location: (Contract, Remote – EST)

Senior OneStream Consultant / Developer

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior OneStream Consultant / Developer with extensive hands-on experience implementing and configuring OneStream solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong combination of technical configuration expertise, financial planning and consolidation knowledge, project leadership, and client-facing communication skills.

This role is approximately 70% hands-on technical work focused on OneStream configuration, planning, consolidation, integrations, and solution development, with approximately 30% management, leadership, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Requirements

• 6+ years of hands-on OneStream implementation and configuration experience
• Proven completion of 3+ full OneStream implementation projects
• Experience supporting implementations within the Food & Beverage industry strongly preferred
• Ability to lead discussions with business stakeholders, gather requirements, and translate business needs into effective OneStream solutions
• Experience providing technical and project leadership
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts in business terms

Core Technical Skills

OneStream Platform

• In-depth knowledge of OneStream platform capabilities and core modules, including:
• Financial Consolidation
• Planning
• Reporting
• Analytics
• Workflows
• Dashboards
• Cube Views
• Strong hands-on experience configuring OneStream solutions
• Experience with OneStream planning and consolidation implementations
• Ability to design, configure, test, troubleshoot, and support OneStream applications

Programming & Scripting

• Proficiency with and/or C#
• Experience developing complex Business Rules, customizations, calculations, and extensibility features
• Ability to develop and troubleshoot technical solutions within the OneStream platform

Data Management & Integration

• Strong understanding of data integration and ETL processes
• Experience designing and implementing data migration strategies
• Experience integrating OneStream with ERP systems, data warehouses, and other source systems
• Ability to ensure data integrity and reconciliation between source and target systems

Database

• Strong SQL skills
• Experience writing queries and stored procedures
• Understanding of relational and multidimensional database concepts
• Knowledge of OLAP/data warehouse concepts

Functional & Financial Skills

Accounting & Finance

• Strong understanding of financial processes, including:
• Financial close
• Financial consolidation
• Budgeting
• Forecasting
• FP&A
• Financial reporting
• Ability to translate finance and accounting requirements into OneStream configurations and solutions

Financial Data Modeling

• Experience designing and maintaining financial models and metadata
• Understanding of:
• Cubes
• Dimensions
• Hierarchies
• Business Rules
• Financial data structures

Accounting Standards

• Understanding of US GAAP and/or Multi-GAAP principles
• Ability to apply accounting knowledge to financial consolidation and reporting solutions

Consulting & Leadership Skills

Business Analysis & Solution Design

• Lead client and stakeholder workshops to gather and document requirements
• Analyze business processes and identify appropriate technical solutions
• Translate business requirements into OneStream configurations and solution designs
• Develop technical and functional documentation

Problem Solving

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to resolve complex business and technical challenges
• Identify root causes and develop practical solutions
• Strong attention to detail, particularly with financial data, configuration, architecture, and documentation

Communication & Client Management

• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Comfortable communicating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and senior leadership
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear business terms
• Experience managing client relationships and expectations
• Strong ability to facilitate meetings, workshops, and requirements discussions

Leadership Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and leadership throughout implementation projects
• Work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources
• Help manage project activities, priorities, and deliverables
• Review solutions and configurations for quality and accuracy
• Mentor and support junior team members as needed
• Serve as a subject matter expert for OneStream planning and consolidation

Preferred Qualifications

• OneStream Certified Professional
• Experience with Hyperion
• Experience with Anaplan
• Food & Beverage industry implementation experience
• Experience managing or leading OneStream implementation teams

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

• 6+ years of OneStream implementation/configuration experience
• 3+ completed full-cycle implementations
• Strong hands-on expertise in planning and consolidation
• Approximately 70% technical / 30% management and leadership experience
• Strong accounting/finance and FP&A knowledge
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to independently gather requirements, design solutions, configure OneStream, and lead implementation activities
• Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
