About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Salesforce Platform Developer to join a growing technology team focused on Salesforce, automation, AI, and enterprise platform modernization.

This is not a role focused exclusively on development or administration. The ideal candidate enjoys balancing platform development, reporting, data analysis, troubleshooting, integrations, and continuous platform improvement. This position offers significant ownership and visibility within a collaborative environment where individuals are empowered to make a meaningful impact.

This opportunity is best suited for someone who enjoys solving business problems, wearing multiple hats, and working directly with stakeholders to deliver practical, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and support Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flow Builder, and related platform technologies

  • Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and business metrics that support decision-making across the organization

  • Analyze data quality, perform data cleanup activities, and recommend improvements to platform architecture and usability

  • Configure and maintain standard and custom objects, fields, record types, page layouts, validation rules, flows, and security settings

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues involving configuration, automation, data, reporting, development, and integrations

  • Support integrations between Salesforce and third-party applications through APIs and middleware platforms

  • Investigate legacy configurations and technical debt while identifying opportunities for optimization and modernization

  • Participate in AI and automation initiatives using emerging Salesforce and generative AI technologies

  • Create and maintain technical documentation, process documentation, and system-related knowledge articles

  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver business solutions

  • Manage assigned projects from requirements through testing, deployment, and post-production support

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience spanning administration, reporting, automation, data management, and custom development

  • Experience developing solutions using Apex and Lightning Web Components (LWC)

  • Strong understanding of Salesforce administration and declarative development tools

  • Experience creating reports, dashboards, and custom report types

  • Experience working with Salesforce data management, cleanup, imports, exports, and data quality initiatives

  • Experience working with APIs, integrations, authentication concepts, and connected systems

  • Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills

  • Ability to independently manage projects and deliver solutions with minimal supervision

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience documenting processes, solutions, and technical decisions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer certification

  • Experience supporting Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud environments

  • Experience with MuleSoft, Zapier, or similar integration platforms

  • Experience with GitHub or source control best practices

  • Experience utilizing AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, Agentforce, Prompt Builder, or similar platforms

  • Experience working within a small or midsize organization where team members wear multiple hats

Ideal Candidate

  • Enjoys both Salesforce development and administration work

  • Can build reports and dashboards as confidently as they can write Apex

  • Is comfortable troubleshooting unfamiliar systems and identifying root causes

  • Takes ownership of projects and follows through to completion

  • Values documentation and maintainable solutions

  • Has an interest in AI, automation, and process improvement

  • Thrives in a collaborative, high-visibility environment

  • Communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What You'll Gain

  • Direct ownership of meaningful Salesforce initiatives

  • Exposure to AI, automation, integrations, and platform modernization efforts

  • Opportunity to influence platform direction and best practices

  • High visibility within a growing organization

  • Collaborative team environment with long-term career growth potential
