Job Description

About Us:

Rise and Shine Academy, a program of Criterion Child Enrichment, provides quality child care services to children between six weeks and five years of age. Each classroom offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum designed to promote learning, curiosity, and independence, in a safe and nurturing environment. Rise and Shine is licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We are seeking enthusiastic, caring, and responsible teaching assistants for our infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children and is looking for occasional work.

  • Part Time Positions available

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in developmental enrichment groups with children birth to three years-old their parents.
  • Assist in the planning and development of curriculum/activities for group.
  • Support children’s learning in group through engagement in activities such as art/sensory, gross motor, and free play.
  • Assist with group routines such as the set-up/clean-up, snack preparation and toileting/diapering.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Previous experience in early childhood education preferred
  • Bilingual/Bicultural candidates encouraged to apply
