Role Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Infrastructure Engineer with broad Microsoft infrastructure expertise and strong Azure engineering experience. The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising our end-user computing and infrastructure platforms, with a particular focus on migrating from ManageEngine MDM to Microsoft Intune.
This is a hands-on technical role requiring experience across cloud infrastructure, endpoint management, identity, security, automation, and project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support Microsoft Azure infrastructure and cloud services.
- Lead the migration from ManageEngine MDM to Microsoft Intune, including planning, testing, deployment and decommissioning.
- Configure and manage Microsoft Intune for Windows, iOS, Android and macOS devices.
- Develop and maintain device compliance policies, configuration profiles, security baselines and application deployments.
- Manage Azure Active Directory (Microsoft Entra ID), Conditional Access, MFA and identity lifecycle processes.
- Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams and SharePoint.
- Administer Windows Server environments, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy where required.
- Implement endpoint security using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft security best practices.
- Automate infrastructure administration using PowerShell and Azure automation tools.
- Monitor infrastructure health, performance and security, proactively resolving issues.
- Produce technical documentation, implementation plans and operational procedures.
- Work closely with project teams, service desk and third-party suppliers to deliver infrastructure improvements.
- Participate in infrastructure upgrades, disaster recovery planning and business continuity activities.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong commercial experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or Senior Infrastructure Engineer.
- Excellent Microsoft Azure administration and engineering experience.
- Proven experience designing and administering Microsoft Intune.
- Demonstrable experience migrating from ManageEngine MDM (Mobile Device Manager Plus) to Microsoft Intune, including successful decommissioning of the legacy platform.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Experience with Windows 10/11 endpoint management.
- Microsoft 365 administration experience.
- Experience implementing Conditional Access, compliance policies and Zero Trust principles.
- Windows Server administration experience.
- PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft security technologies.
- Experience with endpoint application packaging and deployment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (preferred)
- Relevant Microsoft certifications or equivalent experience
