Position Overview
We are seeking experienced CDL A Flatbed Drivers to haul steel freight on over-the-road routes. This position offers competitive percentage-based pay, weekly direct deposit, assigned equipment, and a Monday-Friday schedule with weekends generally off.
Drivers are responsible for safely operating a manual-transmission tractor-trailer, securing freight, and completing deliveries according to dispatch schedules. This is a no-touch freight position; drivers supervise and secure the load after it has been loaded.
Compensation & Pay Structure

• Average Weekly Earnings: $1,600, depending on loads
• Pay Structure: Percentage of the load rate, based on experience and tenure
• Additional Compensation: Drivers receive 50% of applicable stop-off, detention, and no-load charges
• Per Diem: Up to $80 per day, depending on time away and eligibility

Schedule & Routes

• Monday through Friday (no weekends)
• Approximately four overnight stays per week
• Drivers may have the option to depart Sunday evening or early Monday, depending on route and preference
• Routes vary from week to week
• Approximately 5-7 deliveries per route, depending on mileage and destination
• Drivers typically spend 2-3 nights at home during the workweek, with weekends generally at home

Job Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A Flatbed (manual transmission)
• Transport steel freight to designated customer locations
• Inspect equipment and ensure compliance with applicable DOT regulations
• Secure and verify freight after loading
• Oversee loading procedures and ensure cargo is properly secured for transport
• Complete deliveries and required documentation accurately and on time
• Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery updates
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with company safety procedure

Qualifications & Requirements

• Must be at least 22 years of age
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
• At least two years of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past five years
• At least two years of flatbed driving experience
• Ability to operate a manual-transmission tractor-trailer
• Valid DOT medical card
• Clean MVR, Background & Drug Screening
