Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cybersecurity Architect to support cybersecurity architecture reviews and technology risk assessments across a large enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in security architecture, threat modeling, cloud security, network security, application security, identity and access management, and enterprise risk assessment.

The candidate will work closely with project teams, technology stakeholders, and third-party vendors to identify cybersecurity risks, recommend practical mitigation strategies, and ensure secure technology implementations while supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity architecture reviews for enterprise applications, cloud platforms, infrastructure, networks, APIs, SaaS, and third-party solutions.

• Perform threat modeling to identify attack surfaces, trust boundaries, vulnerabilities, and potential attack paths.

• Assess cybersecurity risks and recommend appropriate security controls and mitigation strategies.

• Evaluate cloud security architectures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform.

• Review network and infrastructure security, including firewalls, WAFs, DNS, segmentation, certificates, and secure connectivity.

• Assess application security, API security, authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and OWASP risks.

• Evaluate IAM architectures, including SSO, MFA, federation, RBAC, privileged access, and least-privilege principles.

• Assess data security, privacy, encryption, key management, and data loss prevention.

• Review vendor security assessments, vulnerability reports, penetration-test findings, and architecture documentation.

• Prepare clear cybersecurity risk reports, document residual risks, and recommend remediation plans.

• Apply cybersecurity frameworks and standards, including NIST, ISO 27001, and NERC CIP.

• Collaborate with technical teams and business stakeholders to implement secure and practical solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in cybersecurity architecture, security architecture reviews, or enterprise technology risk assessments.

• Strong knowledge of cloud security, network security, application security, and identity and access management.

• Experience with threat modeling, attack surface analysis, and security risk assessment.

• Knowledge of security controls, encryption, data protection, and secure architecture principles.

• Experience evaluating third-party security solutions and interpreting vulnerability assessments and penetration-test results.

• Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, ISO/IEC 27001, and related cybersecurity standards.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to independently manage multiple security architecture assessments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• CISSP, CCSP, or relevant cybersecurity certifications.

• Experience in utility, energy, critical infrastructure, or other regulated industries.

• Familiarity with OT/ICS security, NERC CIP compliance, and AI/GenAI security risks.

• Experience developing cybersecurity reference architectures, security standards, and reusable security patterns.

Work Arrangement

This is a primarily onsite contract opportunity in Juno Beach, Florida. Candidates must be comfortable working onsite.
