Job Description

Engineering Manager (Delivery Lead)

Responsibilities:

Delivery Management – Planning, execution, risk and stakeholder alignment

·      Owns responsibility for team outcomes, ensuring work is prioritized, risks are managed, and commitments are delivered in a timely and reliable manner

·      Accountable for defining realistic, priority-driven delivery roadmaps and delivery forecasts

·      Ensures consistently on-time delivery of commitments

·      Sets expectations for Agile delivery and flow to ensure predictable delivery and support rapid feedback

·      Identifies and manages delivery risks proactively before they become impediments, escalating early when needed

·      Aligns closely with product leaders, technical leaders, and business stakeholders, and contributes to broader program outcomes

Technical Execution – Guiding technical decisions, maintaining quality, hands-on when needed

·      Reviews designs and technical approaches with sound judgment, identifying quality, scalability, and maintainability concerns early

·      Actively engages in team work, including but not limited to code reviews, design discussions, targeted implementation; contribute to stories increase confidence in meeting sprint goals and maintain technical credibility

·      Balances near-term delivery needs with long-term technical health, addressing tech debt and tradeoffs deliberately

·      Ensures adherence on best practices coupled with sound engineering decisions, reinforcing consistent quality across the team

·      Promotes high standards of engineering quality, including reliability, scalability, and performance. Reinforces sound development and testing practices
