The Role • Operate specialized equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks. • Perform pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety. • Coordinate container moves and tasks with yard personnel and supervisors. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established protocols. • Ensure accurate and safe handling of containers to keep freight moving efficiently. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including all shifts, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team. • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs.
