Job Summary

Seeking an Optical Engineer with hands-on experience in optical system design, optical simulations, imaging/illumination systems, and optical component development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop optical systems, lenses, and optical assemblies.

• Analyze and optimize optical paths from light source to sensor.

• Perform optical simulations using Zemax, Code V, or equivalent.

• Evaluate system performance and troubleshoot optical alignment/integration issues.

• Perform root cause analysis and resolve optical performance issues.

• Support optical component supplier selection and vendor evaluations.

• Collaborate with suppliers on design, manufacturability, and production.

• Support prototyping, outsourcing, and production strategies.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Optics, Optical Engineering, Physics, or related field.

• 5+ years of Optical Engineering experience.

• Strong experience with optical component design, lenses, assemblies, and light paths.

• Proficiency with Zemax, Code V, or equivalent optical simulation tools.

• Experience with imaging or illumination systems.

• Knowledge of lens manufacturing, integration, and packaging.

• Experience working with optical suppliers and manufacturing partners.
